Why am I not ranking on Google?
A page usually fails to rank for one of three reasons: Google cannot index it, the page is not clearly about the keyword, or other pages answer the search better. This check tests the first two on your page and keyword, and gives a plain verdict with the fixes in the order that matters most.
What this tool checks
- Indexability: status, noindex, robots.txt, canonical and HTTPS
- The keyword in the title tag, H1, opening 100 words, URL and meta description
- Word count of the visible text
- Section headings and internal links pointing out of the page
- Structured data on the page
Why it matters
Most ranking problems are not mysterious. If a page cannot be indexed, nothing else matters. If it never says the phrase people search, Google has little reason to match it. Only after both are solved does the contest move to depth, authority and links.
How to fix what it finds
- Solve indexing failures first; a noindex or blocked page cannot rank at all.
- Use the exact keyword in the title, the H1 and the first paragraph.
- Cover the topic fully: answer the question, then add steps, examples and FAQs.
- Link to the page from related pages with descriptive anchor text.

Why am I not ranking?: common questions
Then the gap is usually authority or intent: other pages have more links and mentions, or Google shows a different type of page for that search. Compare the top results and match their format, then earn links and mentions.
Google needs to recrawl the page first, often within days for active sites. Ranking changes usually show over a few weeks. Request indexing in Search Console to speed up the recrawl.
